Theme

In line with the other round table on the state of the discipline this one is set up jointly by the European Confederation of Political Science Associations (ECPSA) and the French Association of Political Science (AFSP). It aims at anlyzing the development of political science and its challenges in countries neighbouring the European Union. A variety of aspects shall be addressed, e.g. institutional and organizational features, the relationship with political institutions in the respective country, contacts to civil society, public and social recognition of the discipline etc. A special emphasis will be put on effects that the political context and trends may have on the discipline, its structure and discourses.
