Table ronde L’an IV des révolutions arabes : vers un décloisonnement des aires culturelles ?

Cette table ronde réunira un groupe de cinq politistes français et étrangers spécialistes du monde arabe (Maghreb et Machreq principalement) et des dynamiques politiques et sociales qui le traversent depuis le déclenchement notamment des révolutions arabes tunisienne et égyptienne. Au cours de cette table ronde il sera à la fois question de faire un état des lieux comparatiste des changements politiques en cours dans le monde arabe au lendemain des révolutions (diversification des logiques de démocratisation, reformulation des relations entre société politique et société civile, renforcement de l’autoritarisme, guerres civiles…) mais aussi de questionner le caractère spécifique ou pas de ces dynamiques et voir dans quelle mesure des analogies, des comparaisons ponctuelles voire des analyses croisées pourraient être avancées avec d’autres configurations géographiques et d’autres sociétés afin de sortir des logiques d’aires culturelles trop réifiantes voire essentialistes.

IV year of Arab revolutions: to a deregulation of cultural areas?

This Round Table will bring together a group of five French and foreign political scientists specialists in the Arab world (in particular Maghreb and Mashreq) and who analyze the political and social dynamics in the region since the beginning of the Arab revolutions in Tunisia and Egypt. The purpose of the round table is both to compare the political changes in the Arab world in the wake of the revolutions (diversification of democratization logics, reformulation of the relationship between political society and civil society , strength of authoritarianism , civil wars ...) but also to question the specificities or not of these dynamics and to see to what extent analogies, punctual comparisons or cross- analysis could be proposed with other geographical configurations or with other societies in order to move away from cultural areas logics.
